Our Story
Built on a Contractor-Family Background
Deck Pros Plus has been building and replacing decks in Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana for more than 15 years. Abel Smith and Ernie Lunsford are the people behind the company — and both come from contractor families. Their fathers were contractors. They grew up around construction and the trades long before Deck Pros Plus existed.
That background shapes how Deck Pros Plus approaches every project. Before recommending any scope of work, the team evaluates what is actually there — the framing, posts, beams, joists, and ledger connections — not just the surface.
If the structure is sound, we build on it. If it is not, we say so.
